One of my favorite things about marriage is that I get to learn and experience things about Alex that hardly any one else would get to know {the good and the bad things} – So I thought that I would share some fun and not well known things about us.
1. My body has its own little warning system – last year I contracted the disease called shingles and now I have this handy little trick. Every time my “shingles” start to itch, I know that I need to get some medicine in my system because a migraine is on its way. {I also lose vision in my right eye but that’s a common sign of migraines… and strokes}
2. Alex loves babies and doggies - he might try to act all tough but this kid loves them. His favorite person is our niece Ava. And every time he sees a baby {or doodies as he calls them} he points them out and smiles and waves and makes funny faces to make them smile. As for doggies – he loves going to my parents house to see their dog Sobe, and when Chuck is in town, he is so excited and can’t wait to play with him. The only thing that is holding us back from owning a dog are his allergies {which makes me sad because I miss having a dog}
3. I secretly am scared of having to explain my job– I work with alternate investments and it is really difficult to explain what I do because it is an obscure area of the investment world that hardly anyone ventures into {except our clients}. It involves a lot of fund management, being on the phone with Fidelity, verifying statements, answering client/advisor questions and paperwork. I also do ILOC reporting and run the referral program so it’s a very diverse position. So don’t ask me what I do any more.
4. Alex choice in literature is more about knowledge than “just for fun” – he doesn’t get to read very often, but when he does, he doesn’t choose easy books to read. While we were on our honeymoon he read an economics book; he is reading {and has been for like two years} a book about Che Guevara. And when we went to Barnes and Noble one night and he ended up coming home with “The Wealth of Nations.” Not what you would expect from Mr. Zumiez now would ya?
And that completes the list of 4 things you {probably} didn’t know about us. Maybe next time we will drop a bomb on you and tell you something super secret about ourselves… I guess you will have to wait and see!
