Alex's Friends

Alex has this group of friends that we hang out with quite a bit.  They have all been friends since they were in middle school {some even longer than that}.

I honestly love all of the guys and think they are super great people {this isn’t a post about how annoying they are}.  A bonus of this friendship is that I get to hang out with the super cool girls that come along with the group: the wives, the Mortimer family and Erin!

That being said, you need to know that this group of friends has the strangest phenomena.  When two of them are together they act completely normal.  But get three or more of them together? The maturity level drops all the way back to their high school days.  {This is the complete truth – ask any one that has hung out with this group in the last ten years}.

Their favorite activities include:

• watching {incredibly} stupid YouTube videos
• making up weird games {like frog slap}
• talking about the crazy things they did when they were in high school
• anything that will make Ben laugh {because apparently Ben has the world’s greatest laugh}

Last week was a perfect example of the phenomena, Alex and I went out to dinner with Erin and Gabe.  It was great – we had nice adult conversation and the maturity level of the boys was nice and high.  But then we went back to Erin and Gabe’s place.  And Mike and Ben joined us.

And this is what ended up happening {for like an hour…} They are trying to catch the dart from a Nerf gun.

Gabe eventually got a dart and that was the end of it. Then we watched some super sweet shows on Game Show Network. Overall it was a typical night with those guys.
