My dad loves to golf. My boyfriend loves to golf. So why wouldn't they golf together? Well this past weekend they did. Yesterday Bryan, Alex and Kim (Alex's dad) hit the golf course.
I won't lie I was a little bit nervous about this golf game. I mean, mine and Alex's families are starting to meet each other. It was only my dad and Kim meeting, but still . . . that's a big deal! We have only been dating for three months and our parents are already meeting each other? That's a big step for such a short relationship.
As it turns out, this was the perfect way for our dad's to meet. They were able to bond over something they all enjoy doing so it eased the tension. My dad said that he really enjoyed their golf game, and that he really likes Kim, and he doesn't hate Alex so that's a good sign.
Maybe there will be more golf games in the future. . . who knows? But the meeting of the Kasteler's and the Harris' went a lot smoother than I thought.
