As I was looking at it, still totally in love with it. It made me think of when Alex and I went in to look for rings.
We had been thinking about marriage so we went out to look at rings {I wanted to pick it out... I have to wear it every day so I wanted to 100% love it}. We stopped by the "family" jeweler {my MIL and SIL both have rings from there} and took a look.
After trying to ask me what I liked {styles; white gold, gold, silver; shape; etc} with me standing there with zero idea of what I wanted, the man who was helping us told us to look around and he would grab whatever I liked. I started in one corner of the store and immediately found a ring that I liked. So he pulled it out. Then I continued to walk around the store and point at others that I liked.
I tried on 4 or 5 rings that were all very similar in style but I kept coming back to that very first ring that I picked out. We tried out a few different diamonds in the center and then found one that I liked {who knew there were so many choices?!}. We left the store that night pretty sure we needed to look some more. So we went back another time and tried on a few more but I still loved my first choice.
In the end, we purchased the very first ring that I liked in the store. I still love it to this day!
The funny thing about this story is that we tend to always make decisions like that:
- When we went car shopping in November we purchased the very first car we looked at on the lot {after looking at other colors, and looking between sonatas and elantras}
- When we got Alex a suit for our wedding, it was the one we found online months before we actual purchased the suit {weirdly enough we got it at Zumiez with the E.O.P. discount!}
- When we picked our apartment, it was the first one we looked {the others were a middle and 1st floor so obviously 3rd floor won!}
- When we bought all our furniture, it was what we liked when we first went furniture shopping
- When I chose my DSLR camera, it was the first one I researched online
