The Happiest Place on Earth

Tuesday was the day we had been waiting for.  We had talked about going to Disneyland for a long time.  And it was finally here!

We woke up early again with the intentions of heading over to the park so we could get in as soon as we could.  As soon as they started letting people in the park, we sped right over to Adventureland because our plan was to get on Indiana Jones right away.  Then we had to stand around behind a rope while we waited for the park to actually open.  Once 10 am hit, we followed our guide right over to Indiana Jones and hurried into the line.  {Fun fact about me:  I can walk very fast and weave through crowds like a ninja!  I left Alex in the dust getting in line for Indy, he had to pass like 10 people to get in line with me}.  We were lucky enough to walk directly through the long queue onto the ride!

After riding Indiana Jones, we grabbed a fast pass for later and then went to get on Jungle Cruise.  It is actually one of my favorite rides - corny jokes and all.  After that we were hungry so we grabbed lunch at Bengal Barbeque and sat down to rest our feet.

After lunch we went on Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean.  Then we ventured over to Thunder Mountain and found the sword in the stone for Alex to try.  Unfortunately, he could not get the sword out, but luckily it was time for our fast pass to Indiana Jones again.

Next we ventured over to Tomorrowland  to ride Space Mountain {my absolute favorite ride!}.  We decided to go on Star Tours, which was one we both usually skip but is actually very fun.  We also went on Buzz Lightyear's ride and we made a unanimous decision that Toy Story Mania is loads better.

After that we took a break to get a treat.  We went to the candy shop on Main Street and got a Tigger Tail and a candy pretzel.  {If you haven't every had a Tigger Tail, you are missing out!  It is a marshmallow stick, covered in caramel, covered in chocolate.  It might sound like too much sugar, but it is delicious.}

Then we went and took some picture by the castle.  {Classic me taking one of Alex, him taking one of me because we were traveling solo and I don't trust strangers with my DSLR.}

After pictures, we went back over to Indiana Jones and Haunted Mansion.

I had been waiting all day for dinner time. We made reservations at Cafe Orleans way in advance of our vacation.  We went for the fried food trifecta of pommes frites, Monte Cristo and bengets.  {I completely suggest you eat at Cafe Orleans.  It is worth it.}

After dinner we rode Pirates and Big Thunder again and then rode the train over to Tomorrowland to get on Space Mountain one last time.  We did some shopping for Alex {he got a Guardians of the Galaxy shirt} and shopped along main street before leaving the park.

It was yet another fantastic day.  Now I can't wait to go back!
