Our California Adventure

January is the busiest month at work for me and Alex.  It had been a month of non stop madness.  Alex's boss insisted that he take a vacation.  So we decided to go to California to hit up Disneyland and California Adventure.  It was a really long month between the time we decided to go and when we actually got to go.  But it was the perfect vacation.

We left our apartment early Sunday morning and drove pretty much straight through, we only stopped 2 times for gas.  Once we arrived, we quickly dropped off our bags and walked over to a nearby restaurant called Clancy's.  Then we wandered over to Downtown Disney.  I was on a mission to find a set of salt and pepper shakers {I collect some every where we go!} and Alex was on a mission to get a churro.  We accomplished both and spent a bit walking around feeling the excitement of being on Disney property.

The next morning we both woke up bright and early due to a mixture of excitement and the time change.  We quickly got ready and headed over to the park.  They let us in early but it was just a waiting game until it actually opened and we could move with the crowd to get in line for the Cars Fast Pass.

The rest of the day was equally divided between riding rides and eating.

• Mater's Junkyard Jamboree {1 time}.

• Turkey Leg {Alex}
• Clam Chowder soup in a bread bowl {Alex}
• Broccoli Cheese soup in a bread bowl {Michelle}
• Cinnamon Sugar Churro {Michelle}
• Oreo Churro {Alex - fyi he wasn't a fan}

After a long day of walking and eating delicious food, we trudged our way slowly back to our hotel.  Where we promptly collapsed on our beds and put our feet up.  Then we watched part of The Bachelor: Women Tell All.  It was a pretty spectacular day in my book.
