Come Follow Me: What does it mean to sustain our leaders?

This week we were taught by our amazing young women's president, Katie.  I love when she teaches because she has an incredible knowledge of the gospel and has great experiences from when she served a mission.  This week was no exception, she did a wonderful job!

Katie started off the lesson by having the girls make two lists.

What leaders do we sustain?

• The Bishopric
• Our Young Women Leaders
• The Young Men Leaders
• Relief Society presidency
• Primary Presidency
• Stake Presidency

What can we do to sustain our leaders?

• accept callings
• keep them in our prayers
• do missionary work
• go to the activities (support!)
• listen to their teachings
• put in some effort
• be friendly
• accept counsel

I loved the lists that the girls created.  They really understand that the people in our church are called of Heavenly Father and that we should support them in their callings.

Katie then had us read "Questions and Answers" from the October 2012 New Era.  This was an article in which the youth of the church shared ways that they can honor the priesthood. 

The lesson ended with a short video called "A Wartime Miracle"
