{do I still even have any readers?}
Yes, you can believe it. It is me! I am back. December and January have really kicked my butt and that is why I have been MIA. You see, at my job we have a "busy season" and boy has it been busy. In my new position I handle 2 large volume operational tasks and it has been a lot of work. I come home each night and the last thing I want to do is look at a computer screen.
But things are winding down and it is high time that I write a blog post. Anywho....
Is it too late to share my resolutions for 2015? Too bad, it's my blog and I will do what I want.
1. Disconnect - Alex and I have a hard time with putting our smartphones down. I want to spend more quality time around the people that I love. I have spent a few days where I just leave my phone in my purse and guess what - I didn't even care that I didn't look at Instagram or Snapchat for a few hours. Life changing stuff.
2. I want to read - I used to be a really big reader. I want to pick that up again. Currently I am reading Killing Patton {which I don't love} and listening to Unbroken on Audible. Reading makes me happy. It is nice to decompress each night by reading a book.
3. Write - My cute friend Erin gave me a 5 year journal for Christmas and I LOVE it. It has been a great way to journal without having to come up with something interesting on my own. I also want to blog more and write for fun.
4. #GetFit - Alex and I both got Vivofit bands as gifts last year {me for my birthday, him for Christmas}. We hope to live a healthier lifestyle by going to the gym more and eating healthier. The goal is to make a big change before our Hilton Head trip in May.
5. Experience - Last year we were able to take some fun trips, go on hikes, spend time with family and just enjoy life. I want every year to be full of adventures that I can tell my future kids about. Who is with me?!
6. Save - We really want to buy a house in 2015. But with purchasing a home we know that we have to save our pennies. We set up a budget and I hope to stick to it, and save a little more each month if possible. The alternate would find a rich uncle that will die and leave me all of his money ;)
Happy 2015! May your resolutions last longer than January.
