Catch Up

{insert comments about how I have neglected the blog... blah blah blah}. A lot has been going on lately.   We are all kinds of busy.  But in a good way.  I thought I would catch you up a little bit on what is really happening.

First of all.  We went to Wicked.  It was AMAZING!  Alex had been griping about it ever since we bought the tickets last year {last July actually, lots of griping}.  But we left the show and he definitely enjoyed it.  I cannot believe that I haven't seen it before!

We joined the gym.  So far we had gone twice {in the like 4 days we have been members}.  We are hoping that this will really kick start our fitness goals.  But I should be honest and say that I don't know how to use half of the machines, even with the instructions.

Alex and I have been obsessed recently with the game 2048.  The purpose is to match up tiles to get up to the number 2048.  I have some friends that have beat the game.  But I haven't done it yet, and it makes me want to throw my phone against a wall sometimes.

Austin, Sarah and Baby Jackson will be here in one week.  Can't wait to spend time with them and to finally meet Jackson!  He seriously is a cute baby.

I have tried really hard to meal plan.  And so far we have done a fairly good job at it.  We tend to eat better if I have a plan for dinner.  {If I don't, we tend to go out}. I found this awesome cooking website called Annie's Eats.  So far we have had Greek quesadillas, grilled chicken fajita salads, and jalapeno cheddar chicken burgers.  Tonight we have her One Pot Pasta on deck.  It has all been yummy.  And I can't wait to try more of her reciepes.

Last month Alex turned 25 years old.  I wanted to get him something special for his birthday.  So I had been thinking about it for a while before his birthday.  So I came up with a plan to pull out cash from our account {so no card trail}, stop and get it after I finished work for the day and have it wrapped before Alex got home from work.  The second he got home he wanted to open the gift.  And then he decided he was going to guess what it was.  And he guessed on the very first try, without any hints.  That little jerk.  But at least he got the Real jersey that he had been wanting for a while.

And that is about it.  I have to pull some pictures off of my camera, but then I will have some more exciting posts for you guys.
