On Friday we got the keys to the apartment. Alex went over early to check it out and to take over some of the furniture we had stored at his house. That night I went over and did a thorough scrubbing and prepped it for moving day the next day.
Saturday was a big blur of lugging box after box after box of stuff up to our third floor apartment. And it was like a million degrees. So we melted as we lugged.

Since moving day, Alex and I have spent hours assembling our Ikea furniture. We are getting pretty good at understanding the instructions that are known to frustrate people because of their lack of words.
But after our hard work it is starting to look like a home – all we need is a bed and we will be set!
Once we are settled and everything is looking good I'll post some pictures.
